LOOK - Voluntary First-Generation Only KEO Chromoly Axle Recall

LOOK CYCLE USA, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has initiated a voluntary recall and upgrade program isolated to KEO chromoly axle models manufactured prior to January 2006.

All KEO models manufactured Jan 2006 – Present
Please note: If you own any Ti axle KEO pedal model or any chromoly axle KEO pedal model manufactured January 2006 or later, you are not affected by this voluntary recall in any way.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and assure you that with the KEO axle upgrade you will still be riding the world’s best pedals.

IDENTIFYING YOUR KEO PEDALS
Most KEO pedal undersides are stamped with a month/year manufacture date code. See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. Sample date shown is “11-05” or November 2005.

IDENTIFYING YOUR KEO HM PEDALS
KEO HM pedals feature an alphanumeric date code on pedal undersides, with letters A through L corresponding to production month and numbers designating production year. See Fig. 3. Sample date shown is “L-5” or December 2005.

WHAT TO DO
Identify your KEO pedal production date. If your pedals were manufactured between January 2004 and December 2005, stop using them immediately. Bring them to your nearest Authorized Keo Axle Replacement Dealer, where the axles will be upgraded free of charge.
