Bike Assembling

Bike Assembly Instructions

Thank you for purchasing your new bike through our Web Store. We hope it meets your expectations. The bike you got is fully checked and serviced. However because of packing limits we have had to disassemble it before posting.
That's why when you receive your package please follow these instructions:

First of all you will need some tools to do it. We provide every bike with basic set of tools which should be enough. However you may need some extras like knife or good scissors, set of Allen keys and spanners (13, 15 mm)

1. Take the bike out from the box by opening the top of the box. Make sure to take everything out of the box. Put your bike on a floor in a room big enough to allow you necessary space for assembling. Remember that some parts are oiled and greased. With the help of a knife or scissors take the securing bubble foil or carton from the frame or bike parts.

2. Clean the bike using knife or scissors.
Remember pedals are attached to the Crank arms in correct order (R-Right pedal, L-Left pedal) Don't try to mount them in different way. Pedals fitting instructions in Paragraph 6

3. Mount the seat post into the frame. This should tighten with either an Allen Key, Quick Release Lever or 13 mm spanner.

4. Slide stem into steering tube and tighten the Stem's cup using an Allen Key.
Warning: You can adjust proper height of the handlebars but make sure that the stem is inserted past the max height line marked on the stem. You find the same mark on the seat post.

5. With the bike upside down insert the front wheel into the forks. If it is a Quick Release tighten the nut side of the Quick Release Lever until it bites, and then close the lever side tightly. If it doesn't close tightly then give the nut another half turn and try again. If the lever does not close then you need to back the nut off slightly. If it is a standard axle you need a spanner tighten the nuts from both sides. Check if the wheel is straight in the forks - the two brake pads should meet the rim evenly. If the wheel is off-centered, undo the Quick Release Lever and with the bike upside down place the front wheel into position, check if it straight, and close the lever or tighten the bolts.

6. With the bike upside down mount pedals. Bolt them using 15 mm spanner.
Careful! The left pedal works with an opposite thread. They are marked in the ends of the axle. Right pedal belongs to the right crank arm (the one with chainrings)
Top picture shows way of tightening Right pedal, bottom picture shows the way of tightening left pedal.

7. Put the bike back on it's wheels. The next thing you have to do is closing brake calipers. Pictures show how to fit V-Brakes. It is very important to mount these V-brakes properly for the safety of the cyclist.

Now double check everything, make sure it is tight and properly adjusted and... your bike is ready for a spin.

If you have any difficulty assembling the bicycle please contact Us and we will try to help you.

All our bikes sold locally come back to us for a Service after one month. Obviously we can not offer this service to web order bikes but we recommend that you get your bike checked at a local Bike Service Center within first month. All new bikes will 'bed in' though we do what we can using pre-stretched cables. Bicycles with suspension frames need to have all bushings and pivots checked after every ride. Bushings wear when pivots get loose and that is why worn bushings cannot be claimed under the manufacturers warranty. Please read the manual for specific maintenance details on your bicycle.
