We wanted to find out which is the most efficient way of commuting in Dublin Area. Our staff members chosen 4 routes on weekday mornings.
- Dart: 10km Route - Blackrock to Grand Canal Dock
- Luas: 10km Route - Sandyford to Grand Canal Dock
- Bus: 10km Route - Blackrock to Grand Canal Dock
- E-Bike: 10km Route - City Centre to the Cycle SuperStore
*Public transport calculations are based on annual ticket price.
*Electric Bike calculations are based on battery recharge cost every second ride to work. (based on €0.30 for single battery charge) Cost of e-bike not included.
Cost of an e-bike:
- Quality E-Bikes with reliable Bosch or Shimano motors start from €2,000.
- You can purchase e-bike through Government Cycle to Work Scheme and receive TAX relief of 31% to 51% depending on your TAX bracket.
- In 2022 maxiumum exemption limit is €1,500 on e-bike & accessories.
- Amount over the exeption limit has to be paid by the customer and is not eligible for TAX relief.
- You can avail of the scheme once the four-year period.
