
It is our ambition to maintain the best equipped and staffed bicycle workshop in Dublin
In January 2008 The management took a good hard look at the workings and procedures in our workshop. We decided a revamp and overhaul was required.
Since then we have introduced new procedures and training to the staff.
For example we have our 3 levels of service: Standard Service, Service + Clean, Service + Clean + Grease
- Standard Service
- Check conditions of frame and fork (MTB suspension bikes: check suspension for wear on bushings)
- Check condition of rims
- Check spoke tension of wheels
- True front and rear wheels if required
- check adjustment of front and rear cones in the wheels
- Check conditions of tyres
- Inflate tyres to correct pressure
- Check condition of cassette/freewheel block and Crankset
- Check chain wear, degrease and oil chain
- Check condition of gear wires and oil them
- Check and adjust front and rear derailleur
- Check condition of brake wires and oil them
- Check condition and alignment of brake blocks
- Check disc brake pads for wear & disc rotors if straight
- Check tightness of seat clamp bolt
- Check condition of Bottom Bracket
- Check torque on Bottom Bracket/Cranks Bolts
- Check headset
- Check tension on all Bolts (stem, brake & gear levers) with Torque wrench
- Check security of handlebar grips
- Check that all accessories are fitted correctly/ adjust if necessary
- Service + Clean Includes all procedures mentioned in Standard Service + Cleaning the bike:
- Apply cleaning agent to bike
- Power hose (avoid grease points)
- Wipe down the bike and dry off
- Polish frame
- Service + Clean + Grease Includes all procedures mentioned in Service + Clean + Grease:
- Grease seat pin (use carbon paste)
- Grease headset cups + bearing case
- Remove Bottom Bracket and grease threads
- Remove wheel axles and grease bearings if necessary
- Tighten chainset bolts and grease where necessary
- Replace and oil all innner cables
- Replace handlebar tape (road bike)
- Check handlebars for damage
- Bike is examined and assessed at the workshop -estimate for repairs is given.
- Upon commencement of repair the mechanic will again review the repair and call the customer if any issues come up.
- When the mechanic completes the repair and fills out all reports he will text the customer to inform him/her that repair is complete.
- Upon collection the mechanic will review the repair and cost with customer.
- A full report of what has been done and a breakdown of charges is given to the customer.
- We keep a record of all repairs in our computer system for future reference.

Please note:
It normally takes 1 to 2 days to turn a round a repair.We do not carry out repairs on a Sunday but we will of course take your bike in. For first service on any new bike after 4-6 weeks which is free of charge please allow at least one day.
