X-160 Bikes Preview

At last!!! We had the possibility to have a ride on both the X-160 LT and X-160 LTX bikes.

These 2 bikes have come from France for the Outdoor Adventure Show for RDS Dublin. We are the first retailers to show and test these bikes in Europe!

Many thanks to Lapierre and Florian who helped with both the Show and organization.

It's obious from the pictures that these bikes are made for the hardsest terrain and rider styles.
The X-160 range is further improve and expand upon Lapierre's range of full suspension VTT equipped with FPS2 antipumping patented system.

Both models have the same frame which offers 160 mm of travel (6.3 inches) - today's standard for Enduro/FR.

Frames are equipped with the latest FOX Float RP3 XV Shock and they are very plush.

Virtual Pivot Point FPS2 System Design means AntiPumping and Active suspension when braking.
We have tested these bikes on an Indoor Freeride Course and found them Up to the Job.
When you sit on the bike and pedal the feedback you get is almost like a hardtail. The rear suspension stiffens up the chainlinkage resulting in no-energy loss. And when it comes to Outdoor Terrain both front and rear suspension gives lots of plush travel to attack the trail. The Formula ORO K18 brakes with 180 mm rotors provide superb modulated braking power.

Few close-Ups on CNC parts of FPS2 Susension. All gives the strong look. Large easily replacable bearings are available for around €20 from manufacturer. Looks like Nico Vullioz wanted to make everything clear! You'll enjoy this bike all day on all tracks. Just remember your pads.
Large welds, Extra Gussets, Big tubing... almost unbreakable!

On X-160 LTX for front suspension responsible is FOX 36 Van R. Offers 16cm of plush travel.
X-160 LT comes equipped with Marzocchi All Mountain 2 ETA 150 mm

Conclusion is simple - This bike is created for Modern Riders who want to enjoy both XC and FR. It offers Virtual Pivot Point Rear suspension and Total weight of 13.9 kg for X-160 LTX.
